Norwich City Council is responsible for removing sharps/needles on public land, including:
- Roads
- Pavements
- Footpaths
- Parks and open spaces
- Other Council-managed areas
If you find a needle or syringe:
- Do not touch it
- If safe to do so, cover it carefully with something like a box or cone
- Report it to us as soon as possible
We aim to remove reported sharps within two hours.
Information you will need before you begin the form
Before starting, make sure you have:
- The exact location of the sharps (for example, street name or nearest landmark)
- When you first saw them
- The number of needles or syringes
- Whether there are any bodily fluids
- Whether there are any other drug-related items nearby
- Any photos (if available)
Please note:
- You must complete and submit the form in one session
- The form cannot be saved to finish later
- Allow enough time to complete all sections
