Have your say on physical activity - and win prizes!

What gfets you moving? Walk or workout? Park or pavement? Dancing or dog walking?

“A walk or a workout? Dancing or dog walking?” These are just some of the questions being posed to residents across Greater Norwich as part of a new survey to share their views on physical activity — whether they’re gym regulars, weekend walkers, or not currently active at all.

The survey, led by the Greater Norwich Growth Board (GNGB), is open for six weeks and aims to understand how people move, what motivates them, and what barriers they face. The results will help shape future investment in facilities, programmes, and support across Norwich, Broadland, and South Norfolk.

Participants will also be entered into a prize draw, with rewards including a £25 One4All voucher, a free month at South Norfolk Leisure, and an annual Norwich Parks Tennis membership.

Cllr Mike Stonard, Chair of the Greater Norwich Growth Board, said: “We want to hear from everyone, whether you're already active or just thinking about it.

“Sport and physical activity support wellbeing, strengthen communities, and contribute to inclusive growth and we want to build on the work we’ve already done to enhance these areas across Greater Norwich.”

The campaign also reflects on feedback from the last survey in 2021, which led to real changes across the region. These include new and improved facilities at Aylsham Gym and Fitness Hub, Eaton Park, and Wymondham Tennis Club, as well as investment in outdoor spaces like Marriott’s Way and Broadland Country Park.

The survey is open until midnight on Sunday 30 November and takes just five minutes to complete.
