Self-build register
The Government requires us to keep a list of people who are looking for a plot of land within Norwich on which they wish to build their own home.
Who can join the list?
To be on the list, you must be:
- 18 years old or older
- a citizen of the UK, a country in the European Economic Area (EEA), or Switzerland
- looking for a serviced plot of land in Norwich to build a house for a main residence
How much does it cost?
- it costs £50 to join the register
- every year after that, you pay £50 to stay on this list
What happens to the information on the register?
- the self-build register helps us understand how many people are looking for building plots
- the Council might try to help match people with land, but being on the register doesn’t mean you’ll definitely get land.
- your personal information will not be shared with anyone outside the council without your permission.
