Anglian Water rebate – former tenant or leaseholder

This form should only be used to request a rebate relating to a former tenancy. To apply for a rebate for your current tenancy, you need to complete the current tenant rebate form instead.

Important information before you apply for a refund

We are currently receiving a high volume of refund requests. Please allow at least 12 weeks for your claim to be processed.

You can use this form to apply for a rebate for up to 3 former tenancies. If you are wanting to claim for more than 3, please use a new form.

• If you were a sole tenant (only your name on the tenancy), one form will be needed for each former tenancy
• If you were a joint tenant (yours and another person names on the tenancy), and you’re currently joint tenants, one form will be needed for each previous joint tenancy. 
• If you are no longer joint tenants, one form will be needed from each joint tenant.

Before you begin, please note:

• You have 30 minutes to complete each page.
• Your answers won’t be saved until you submit the form.
• Once you start, you’ll need to complete the form in one go.

You won’t be able to leave and return later.

Documents you will need

You must provide proof of identity and proof of address for yourself, and for any joint tenant where applicable.

Accepted documents include:

• Passport
• Driving licence
• Bank statement
• Utility bill
• Council Tax bill

Please have these documents ready before starting the form.

Once we receive your completed form and proofs, we will calculate what you could be entitled to.  

•  If you are a current Norwich City Council tenant, any rebate amount will be credited to your current rent account. This will reduce your ongoing payments; and if it puts your current rent account into credit, you can be refunded.
• If you are no longer a Norwich City Council tenant, your rebate will be used to reduce or clear any Norwich City Council housing debts you may have. Any remaining balance will be refunded to the bank details supplied in the form
